AGL Resources
Angela M. Nagy joined AGL Resources (NYSE:GAS) as vice president and controller in March 2011. In this role, she supports the company's accounting organization, including the corporate accounting, financial reporting and internal controls, accounting research and policies, and distribution operations and retail operations teams.
Prior to joining AGL Resources, Ms. Nagy held accounting leadership roles at Mirant Corporation (now part of GenOn Energy), including serving as vice president and controller, assistant controller, director of corporate accounting and reporting, and controller of its energy trading and marketing subsidiary. Prior to that, she was a manager with Arthur Andersen LLP in the Atlanta assurance practice. She began her career in the energy industry with an internship at Amoco Production Company.
Ms. Nagy is member of the Accounting Principles Committee of the American Gas Association and is an advisory board member of the John T. Steed School of Accounting at the University of Oklahoma. Ms. Nagy also is involved in several community organizations in metro Atlanta, including currently serving on the board of directors for Cool Girls, Inc.
Ms. Nagy earned her master of business administration from Georgia State University. She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor of accountancy and a bachelor of business administration in finance. She is a certified public accountant.
Ms. Nagy and her family reside in metro Atlanta.
