Pivotal Energy Development
James "Jim" Pitts joined AGL Resources in January 2007 as vice president of midstream services, Pivotal Energy Development. He is responsible for asset development of midstream projects and the operations of midstream assets. This includes Jefferson Island Storage and Hub in Louisiana and Golden Triangle Storage in Beaumont, Texas, which is slated to commence service in late 2010.
From 2005 until 2007, Mr. Pitts provided consulting services to AGL Resources for development and operation of its salt dome storage-related assets. In his capacity as a consultant, he has been responsible for operation of the JISH facility since January 2006.
His career in the natural gas industry began at Kinder Morgan after he obtained a bachelor of science, electrical engineering, from Texas Tech University. He left Kinder Morgan after completing 28 years of service in various operations and engineering assignments with his last position as vice president of engineering. He is a registered professional engineer in Illinois.
Mr. Pitts is located in AGL Resources’ Houston office. He and his family live in Spring, Texas.
