AGL Resources
Dave Smith is responsible for the leadership of the AGL Resources Human Resources department, including benefits and compensation, talent development, staffing and employee and client services.
Mr. Smith has more than 25 years of experience in human resources with leading U.S. companies. Before joining AGL Resources in 2005, he was the vice president, global rewards and recognition, at Delta Air Lines. Earlier in his career, he held various positions in management at Motorola, including director of human resources for Motorola’s commercial, government and industrial systems sector. Mr. Smith began his career in human resources at U.S. Steel.
Mr. Smith serves on the teaching faculty and as vice-chair of the board for WorldatWork, the global association for compensation and benefits professionals. He has a professional certification in compensation from WorldatWork. He also serves on the board of Consumer Credit Counseling Services.
He earned a bachelor of arts in behavioral sciences from Indiana University and a master of arts in industrial relations from St. Francis College.
